Abraham Marin spent years in construction. Building houses. That was the skill. That was what he knew. Then he made the jump to real estate. And immediately, he felt something he hadn’t expected: nervous.

Not nervous about the market. Not nervous about competition. Nervous about the basics.

“Where am I going to get opportunities? How do I even start this?”

He joined Power two years ago. Same time he joined real estate. And in two years, he’s closed 12 deals. More importantly, he’s built a system that works. And now he’s coaching other agents on how to do it.

The Starting Point: Nervous and Unsure

Coming into real estate from construction, Abraham had zero sales skills. He knew how to build a house. He didn’t know how to talk to somebody about buying one. He didn’t know where his first lead would come from. He didn’t know if there even would be one.

That’s when Power solved it immediately. Not with motivation. With a system. “They told me where my opportunities were going to come from. How much opportunity I was going to be getting. That gave me the confidence and the frame of mind to get started.”

He didn’t need cheerleading. He needed clarity. And he got it.

Multiple Lead Sources: The Beautiful Thing About Faucets

Abraham doesn’t rely on one source. Vende Tu Casa. Zillow. Clever. The selling program. Office leads. Referrals from past clients. He has multiple faucets, and he’s learned how to turn them on and off based on what he needs.

“The opportunity on a month-to-month basis is truly up to myself,” he says. “Dependending on how many clients I’m working with is depending on how much intake I receive. I don’t want to overwhelm myself where I can’t focus on my current clients. So I literally just stop the faucet once it’s too much and then I regain it.”

That’s not luck. That’s system. Abraham knows exactly how many clients he can handle without sacrificing service. And he manages his pipeline accordingly.

The Proof: 12 Deals in 2 Years, 4 in One Month

His first Zillow lead came in December 2024. He closed the deal in February 2025. That first lead became his first closed deal. From there, the funnel filled. His best month? Four escrows closed.

He’s working 2 to 8 appointments a week, plus open houses. Not burning out. Staying sustainable. Building referrals because clients trust him.

For someone who started with zero sales skills, that’s not slow progress. That’s momentum.

What Actually Changed: Accountability and Systems

Abraham credits two things: accountability and resources. “We’re not short on resources here.

As a matter of fact, you have a lot of resources to choose from.”

He uses the CRM accountability system religiously. Every lead gets tracked. No one trickles through the funnel unnoticed. He role plays Tuesday through Thursday with the office, getting sharp on scripts and buyer conversations. His team critiques each other relentlessly - not to tear each other down, but to get better.

His daily routine is structured. 8:30 AM, open emails. 9 to 10 AM, team meeting. 10 to 11 AM, role play or self-training (re-listening to calls, grading himself). Then 11 AM onwards, working leads one through six, prospecting, preparing for open houses. Lunch. Back to making calls or prepping. This isn’t chaos. This is a schedule.

The Coaching He’s Learning: Get Uncomfortable

Here’s where Abraham’s advice to other agents becomes real. “Whatever you feel the most uncomfortable with - whether it’s scripts, writing offers, explaining the process - dive deep into that. Get embarrassed out in the field. Educate yourself.”

Abraham came in uncomfortable with scripts. “Talking in front of everybody, going through a script felt very robotic.” But he did it anyway. He dove into role play even though it scared him.

Now, scripts feel natural. He’s added his own twist. He explains offers with confidence. He’s not afraid.

“Confidence brings confidence,” he says. “The biggest mistake agents make is staying in their comfort zone. Get uncomfortable. Dive into whatever makes you scared.”

Fail Fast, Compound Work, Stay Consistent

Abraham’s philosophy: “Fail as fast as you can. Because as soon as I fail, I know I’m not going to repeat those mistakes.”

This is different from the typical agent mentality. Most agents want quick satisfaction. “Get a deal going and it feels good.” But Abraham sees past that. “Sometimes it takes time. If you just keep your head down and focus on day-to-day tasks, hour-to-hour tasks, the compound work is what results in results.”

Small actions, done consistently, over time. That’s how 12 deals happen. That’s how four deals happen in a single month. Not luck. Compounding.

What Makes Power Different for Abraham

Abraham is clear: “The training and the accountability that’s provided. That makes Power different.”

Not because training and accountability are rare. Because Power treats them as non-negotiable. Role play isn’t optional. Call reviews aren’t optional. Team meetings aren’t optional. The system has friction built in - friction that forces you to get better.

And it works. Abraham went from construction worker with zero sales skills to a producer who knows his system, manages his pipeline, and closes 12 deals in 2 years.

If You’re Thinking About Joining

“All I would say is congratulations. You found your home into the best team in Southern California. You have the systems, the training, the community, everything that you want in a real estate office. It’s exactly what you’re looking for.”
