Abraham spent his first career building custom homes in Orange County. His second one is built on a different material: trust.
Abraham was building custom homes in Orange County. He enjoyed the work. But he always knew he wanted to sell them instead.
So he bet on himself.
He got his real estate license. Year one was a blur: new software, new scripts, body language, terminology, everything moving a thousand miles an hour. Abraham noticed something early, though. The faster he put a lesson into practice, the faster the results showed up. So he put each lesson to work the same week he learned it, mid-flight, deal by deal.
A year and a half in, Abraham has closed 11 transactions. And while other new agents were still deciding what to say online, he spent thousands of his own dollars building his personal brand. He had figured out early that real estate rewards something bigger than holding a license.
It rewards being someone people believe in.
Why Trust a Mentor Who’s Been Licensed for 18 Months?
When we built the Mentor Program at Power, we looked past résumés with decades on them. We wanted people who understood the core of this business and could teach it fast.
Abraham is exactly that. He walked into real estate with a builder’s work ethic, a blank contact list, and a habit of implementing the same day he learns. In 1.5 years, that combination became a real business: 11 closings across Orange County.
More than that, he understands the one thing that separates agents who succeed from agents who quit.
“People don’t hire a realtor,” Abraham says. “They hire someone they believe in.”
He lives that line. It’s why he spent thousands building his personal brand while working his deals, why he studies body language, why he learns fast. Every hour of it serves one goal: being someone people trust.
His superpower is twofold: relationship building that creates trust, and personal brand strategy that gets people to know you in the first place. Most mentors teach you how to close deals. Abraham teaches you how to become the agent clients pick first.
He’s also bilingual, English and Spanish, which means he can work across communities and help agents do the same.
His clients put it this way: “Has a system for every step. Anticipates what I’m thinking. Makes it enjoyable.”
Systems, anticipation, enjoyment. He’ll tell you the three only work together.
Treat It Like Your Own Business, Because It Is
When we asked Abraham what agents need to understand about building a real estate business, he started with the principle he runs on:
“Treat your real estate career like it’s your own business, because it is. Respect your schedule, do your tasks, and success will follow.”
Simple to say. Hard to live.
Most new agents run their week like employees: show up when the mood strikes, prospect when motivation cooperates, then wonder where the money went. Abraham runs his week like an owner. The schedule is set, the tasks are on the calendar, and he executes them every time. He expects his mentees to do the same.
Underneath that discipline sits a second principle: trust the process.
“It’s hard to see the deals early on, but I guarantee they’re on the other side of that phone call, that email, that open house. You just have to trust the process.”
For a while the scoreboard will look empty. You’ll feel slow, maybe lost. Keep prospecting, keep following up, keep hosting the open houses, and the deals arrive. Abraham is his own proof: that exact routine produced 11 closings in 18 months.
And he’ll tell you the system is only half of it. The other half is you: your brand, your personality, your belief. People hire a person, so once the system is running, you build yourself inside it. That’s where the thousands he invested online come back in.
Trust in the Living Room, Trust on the Feed
Abraham drills two skills: relationships that create trust face to face, and a personal brand that earns trust before you ever meet.
In person, he builds relationships instead of running a pitch. He reads body language. He anticipates what a client is thinking before they say it. He shapes the buying or selling experience into something people enjoy, so by closing day they’re believers.
Online, he has invested thousands in his presence, and every dollar had a job. Posts that show he knows the market. Videos that show his personality. A cadence steady enough to signal he’s serious. He’ll walk you through exactly what he built and how you can build your own.
Put the two together and you get a pipeline of people who trust you before the first handshake. In this business, that’s the difference between chasing clients and choosing them.
Show, Then Implement
Abraham has been in leadership his whole life, and patience comes with the territory. His approach: “Show, then expect you to implement.” He gives you the information, demonstrates it, and expects you to run with it. Independence builds fast that way.
On mistakes, he’s direct. If you mess up, he tells you, respectfully, maybe with a joke folded in. Mistakes are normal here; they’re how you learn. When one could hurt a deal, he steps in, shows you the fix, and explains why it works.
On availability: call, text, or FaceTime. If he’s free, he picks up. If he’s with a client or in a meeting, he calls you right after. You’re his priority.
His pace is quick. He implements immediately and expects the same from his mentees. This match works best for someone ready to move fast and put in the work.
What Your First Three Deals With Abraham Look Like
Every agent who joins Power starts with a mentor. That’s the foundation. These are the pieces of your first three deals with Abraham:
Field activities. Minimum two per week: showings, open houses, negotiations, closings. This business is learned in the field. You watch Abraham build rapport and read a room, then you run the same play with him standing there, then you run it on your own.
Daily structure. Abraham installs the 3-2-1 rhythm that compounds:
- 3 hours of prospecting
- 2 hours of follow-through (past leads, past clients, your SOI)
- 1 hour of roleplay (pitches, objections, scripts)
Ninety days of that and the routine runs itself. By deal two you’re executing on autopilot and thinking about the client instead.
Personal brand strategy. This block is pure Abraham. While most mentors stop at closing skills, he sits down with you on social strategy: what to post, how to let your personality show, how to build trust online. He opens up exactly what he did with his own thousands and helps you design your version.
Tools the way producers run them. Follow Up Boss the way a producing agent works it, well past the login screen. RealScout for spotting deals before they hit the MLS. Shilo for reading which parts of your business are producing.
Escrow from start to finish. An offer gets accepted and you’re watching Abraham work: the anticipation, the attention to detail, the way he keeps clients informed and calm. Inspection period, appraisal, loan contingency, signing, closing. Deal one you watch, deal two you drive with him beside you, deal three you run solo with him on standby.
Real problems. A client gets nervous. An inspection turns up a surprise. A competing offer lands. These are the moments that end new agents’ careers, and with Abraham you watch the real answer unfold: the one that keeps the deal moving and the relationship intact.
After three deals, you graduate to full independence and standard splits, carrying the skills, the systems, the brand strategy, and proof that it all works.
A Coach Before He Was an Agent
Leadership has followed Abraham through his whole life, and he has chosen it every time. Coaching is where his heart has always been.
“Knowing how steep the learning curve is in this career,” Abraham says, “I’m extremely excited about the chance to help you find success in your own business like I have in mine.”
He remembers being overwhelmed. He remembers standing exactly where you’re standing, holding all the same questions.
“My business is built on trust, integrity, and speed,” he says. “I’ll make you my priority and walk you through every step, until one day you’re so successful I can barely get ahold of you.”
That last part is the goal. He measures his mentorship by how fast you outgrow it: your own business, at full speed, with Abraham cheering from the next desk over.
People Don’t Hire a Realtor. They Hire Someone They Believe In.
That’s what Abraham would tell a new agent starting out.
“And that’s why I spent thousands of dollars building my personal brand online and working on my craft.”
Year one moves fast, floods you with information, and asks you to perform before you feel ready. The agents who make it share one understanding: real estate runs on belief. People want someone they trust, someone they know will get the job done with care and speed and integrity.
Abraham built exactly that. He invested in himself, studied body language, studied his deals, and trusted the process while the results were still invisible.
That’s how you build a real estate business that lasts.
