From a Cold Brokerage to Same-Day Closings: Zully Martinez's Story

I got it within maybe a few seconds of throwing out the 'thumbs up' button, and I met them that same day.

Zully has been with Power for about two years now. Before that, she worked at a brokerage where the leads barely moved. “You really had to work really really hard to even have them pick up the phone,” she says of that old book of business. At Power, the leads are different: they’re active, they’re reaching out, and the database keeps refilling itself even after a run of closings.

An ISA lead, answered in seconds

One of Zully’s first deals at Power started with a lead from the company’s inside sales agents, the team that reaches out and books the appointment before it ever lands in an agent’s hands. She grabbed it the moment it came through.

I got it within maybe like a few seconds of throwing out the thumbs up button and I met them that same day.

She was in escrow with that client a few days later, and the deal closed. That client is still one of her best today. She still keeps in touch.

Role plays with Jeff, three times a week

Zully points to the Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday role plays as the thing that grew her the most as an agent. She sits down in the office, one-on-one with Jeff, and works through real scenarios before she ever has to use them on a live call with a client or a lender. At her last brokerage, she had access to maybe one mentor. At Power, she counts five or six.

Follow Up Boss ties it together day to day. It holds her tasks, her deal notes, and her client conversations in one place instead of scattered across tools, and she credits it with keeping her from losing a deal to a missed step. On top of the CRM, Power runs an accountability sheet that every agent fills out. Skip it, and access to resources like the Zillow leads gets paused until it’s done. Zully says that structure is exactly why it works: agents look back on a full year of activity and see, day by day, what moved the needle.

A culture that meets you where you are

What stands out most to Zully is how hands-on the team is, whether an agent wants to be the top producer in Southern California or close five to ten deals a year and call it a win. Either way, she says, the support looks the same.

If leads that convert, mentorship, and real accountability sound like what your business is missing, book a call and see what Power could look like for you.
